Can I resize PRO files with other software?

The PRO files are in C2S format. C2S is the proprietary file format used by DIME software packages, specifically, the free Embroidery Tool Shed software that is available with our Edge-to-Edge PRO book, and from the Free Products section of our site.

We chose Embroidery Tool Shed because it’s free, and it’s very easy to use. We chose the C2S format because it allows you to resize designs with proper stitch recalculation, and NO CHANGE to stitch length. Other paid or free embroidery software packages on the market will not be able to open a C2S file, and they will not be able to match the stitch quality you will get on resized designs.

The good news for you is that you can install more than one embroidery software package on your computer, and they will not interfere with each other. I currently have 7 different software packages installed on one of my test computers, and they all work correctly.
