Pro tip: Cleaning Sticky Stuff

If you’ve ever been in one of my classes, you’ve probably heard me say “I hate sticky…” That means, when I’m using spray adhesive, I try to contain the spray and NOT make a mess.

But, even with my best efforts, sometimes “sticky happens,” and my cutting table or my cutting mat needs cleaning. I recently noticed that my cutting mat got kinda gunky in a few places…

Luckily, there’s an easy way to clean surfaces that have been exposed to spray adhesive or anything sticky. Just spray some WD40 spray lubricant on a paper towel, and wipe! (You can find tiny spray cans in your local supermarket.) To make the surface extra clean, sprinkle a little water on a separate paper towel, and wipe the surface again.

The mat is not “brand new,” but it’s much cleaner, and I am much happier!
