Why does my Janome say “file defective” when I load a quilting design?

Ah, yes… this answer is brought to you by the letter “G,” as in… “Gee, what a misleading error message!” What this error message REALLY means is: “the file is too large to fit into your hoop.” If you are using one of our Edge-to-Edge Quilting designs, either select a larger hoop, or choose a smaller design size.
